Who holds your crypto? Custody explained

BullSwipe funds are held with licensed custodial partners. Custody describes how funds are held and who manages access to them; it is a separate question from what your card spends.

A balance tells you how much. Custody tells you who holds it.

When you open a crypto app, the balance is easy to see. The holding arrangement deserves a look too: who holds the funds, and who controls access to them?

With BullSwipe, funds are held with licensed custodial partners. The Custody & security page is the starting point for understanding that arrangement.

What is the difference between custody and self-custody?

In a custodial arrangement, a service provider manages the holding of funds on the user’s behalf. With self-custody, the user controls the keys needed to access the crypto and takes responsibility for keeping them secure.

A wallet app is an interface. Its appearance alone does not tell you which arrangement applies. The ethereum.org wallet guide explains wallets, accounts and keys in more detail.

Account recovery and key recovery are different tasks

With a custodial service, account access is managed through that service. Losing a login credential calls for its official recovery process. It does not mean that another person needs your private keys or recovery phrase.

With self-custody, control of the keys brings responsibility for protecting the recovery information. Do not assume an app provider can recover access if that information is lost. The responsibilities depend on the actual arrangement, not the appearance of the wallet screen.

For BullSwipe login problems, use the account-access guide and official support. Never share a password or authentication code with someone offering help.

Read the terms before treating a balance as protected

A custody description, a security feature and a protection against financial loss answer different questions. Read the published statement alongside the relevant terms rather than assuming that one establishes the others.

If you need a detail about responsibility or protection that is not explained, ask for clarification before funding the account. Do not infer a guarantee from a familiar app design or the currency in which a balance is displayed.

How does BullSwipe describe its arrangement?

BullSwipe’s published statement is that funds are held with licensed custodial partners. Read it together with the account terms when deciding whether the service suits your needs.

That statement does not establish deposit insurance or a guarantee against loss. If you need details about a partner or protection that the published information does not explain, ask support@bullswipe.com directly.

Is a USD spending balance the same thing as custody?

No. A USD spending balance describes the balance used for card purchases. Custody describes how funds are held.

BullSwipe converts USDT or USDC into a USD balance for its virtual card. Our Wallet & balances page explains that conversion. You need both explanations to understand the account: what the balance represents and how funds are held.

Three questions worth asking before you use an account

Who holds the funds? Look for the provider’s custody statement and the relevant terms.

Who controls access? Understand the responsibilities of the provider and the account holder, including how credentials or keys must be protected.

Where can you get help? Save a verified support contact. For BullSwipe, that is support@bullswipe.com. If a detail matters to your decision, ask about it before you fund the account.
